Lakewood Ranch is a sprawling 8,500 acre master planned community, that was built on part of what was once a timber ranch owned by members of the Milwaukee's Uihlein family. They broke ground in 1995 developing a variety of lifestyles ranging from golf course neighborhoods to custom estate living. Lakewood Ranch Real Estate has 10-village communities to select from all offering there own individual characteristics and style. Main Street is the central hub for shopping, restaurants, movie theater, put put golf, and once a month on Friday nights they have a live band.
